About us

Amrita Hall first opened its doors to the public in 2019 as a place to serve the local community by providing a peaceful & tranquil space to hold special events and celebrations. In fact amrita is a sanskrit word meaning divine nectar. The ancient Greeks called this ambrosia or ‘food of the gods’. We are happy to offer this heavenly space for your memorable event.

Located near the Fair Acres Community in south Bromley, (a short distance from Bromley South Station) we cater for events across south east London, including the local Bromley & Beckenham areas. We provide a large fully functioning hall, together with a foyer perfect for serving food.

Our vision is to serve the local community the best we can, one example is working with the Metropolitan Police to hold their Safer Neighbourhood Team surgeries with the local community.

In 2023 we shall be building a fully functioning kitchen to cater for Wedding parties who wish to serve hot food, as well as a ‘drop in’ cafe for refreshments. In addition a suite of offices and therapy rooms will occupy the top level suitable for hire.

A key ethos is to support and protect the environment, and our environmental policy supports this function, refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle.

Social Responsibility
Amrita Hall is run as a non-profit venture as part of the UK charity M.A. Centre, UK, whose mission is to serve and contribute to the local community by offering spiritual, ecological, educational and wellbeing programmes. M.A. Centre, UK is a member of an international network of charities known as Embracing the World, which supports the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. In the UK we have a particular focus on environmental awareness and impact, running various events throughout the year to inspire and educate.
